CopyPaste:
an editing software tip
Quick and short! I am aliittle slow with The Editorial
due to a server upgrade and a household/office move that has taken up more time
than I expected.
However, I think you will agree that it was worth the wait since I have a great
timesaver/moneymaker for those of you who repeatedly use the same or similar items,
data, or jpg/gif file in your daily editing chores.
CopyPaste is a small application with a big heart. Those of you who
use Macintosh might know it already since it's been around since Adam and Eve
took a bite of the big Apple (computer that is). Now CopyPaste is
available for Windows users (and has been for some time).
As an Editor I have found CopyPaste indispensable.
It saves me time and that makes me money. If I were to send
the authors the extra money I make from using CopyPaste
they would be rich ... and I would be poor so ... I hope they
aren't reading this.
It's shareware (20$) but the best part is you can try it out for free! I guarantee
you will also find it well worth the money.
Saves Clipboards through Restart (available only to registered
users)
Sits quietly in your system tray
Very Fast and very small (100k for Windows users)
All items are easy to get at with a click of the mouse
Makes you work faster (Only if you want to!)
Let's you save all those important email addresses or
URL's as you surf
Fill out Web forms with just a few clicks!
Think about it!
How many times have you wished you could copy and paste something
but realized you already had something on your clipboard that
you wanted to save also? Now you can save both or 98 more just
like them!
As an Editor, how do I personally use CopyPaste?
Although I try to personalize each and every one of my outgoing
letters, there are certain items like greetings, apologies,
addresses, phone numbers, endings, email addresses, URL's, etc.,
that are common to or repeated in many letters that I send out
and that I used to type in by hand over and over and over. With
CopyPaste these recurring items are available with
one click! This will save you time and, as an editor, that means
money in your pocket!
