Spelling errors, grammatical inconsistencies, and punctuation problems take away from the content of a piece of writing. While all of these individual mistakes are small, the document cannot be a creditable piece of work if it is not grammatically correct. Some of the most common mistakes I look for are: using the past, present, and future forms of verbs incorrectly, inappropriate punctuation, and sentence structure and readability. I also watch for fragments and run-on sentences. Spelling errors such as "alot" and using 'their “instead of "they're" are also common mistakes I watch for. Often times a person will write a sentence that makes sense to himself, but does not make sense to the reader. Rest assured knowing that I will have a suggestion as to how to make the sentence more reader friendly. Matching pronouns in a sentence is also important but often overlooked. I have a BA from the University of Kansas in Lawrence. I majored in Communication studies, and have a minor in Business.
