I have extensive real-world editing experience as copy editor for a fast-paced metropolitan daily newspaper and assistant editor of a national trade publication. Since 2000, I have been on my own as a professional writer and editor. Through the ups and downs of the business cycle, I have learned to work efficiently and exceed client expectations.
My experience ranges from pigs (swine health) to pigskins (football), and many subjects in between. I am well-versed in Associated Press style but also have worked with other style manuals. I earned a master’s degree from the top-ranked University of Missouri School of Journalism. Finally, I am the published author of three books (Tales from the Missouri Tigers, Nitty Gritty Dirt Man and He Stood Tall) and am developing a screenplay project.
