I received my Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies and Philosophy from Saint Mary's College. After that, I pursued and completed a Master of Arts in Theology from the University of Notre Dame. Throughout my studies, I worked hard to perfect my papers and I believe that all of the practice I have had has prepared me for a job as a proofreader.

An education at Saint Mary's College is no easy feat. I had professors who were meticulous in assessing my papers to make sure that I had written them as perfectly as possible. As a double major in Religious Studies and Philosophy, my academic work load was intense. I learned how to edit my papers to perfection according to the MLA standards. In that academic setting, I always paid attention to the way something is spelled or used grammatically. My professors at Saint Mary's instilled in me a desire for perfection in whatever I do. When I began studying for my Master's degree from the University of Notre Dame I met even stricter standards. I wrote and corrected countless papers according to academic standards, all while maintaining a career as a high school religion teacher. While teaching at Marian High School in Mishawaka, Indiana, (and later at Ancilla College in Donaldson, Indiana) I corrected my students' papers. I have also found that when I read books in my free time, I always find the mistakes that an editor did not catch. While I do not have experience as a proofreader per se, I believe that my work in the academic field during my career as a student and as a teacher has prepared me for a job as a proofreader.
I currently own a piano tuning business. Piano tuning is a very detail oriented job. There are not very many people that can maintain the level of attention to detail and determination necessary to complete a piano tuning. I believe that the attention to detail I exercise while tuning a piano is a reflection of my ability to maintain my concentration while working on proofreading a written document.
