For the past thirty years, I have had the sincere pleasure of being a freelance writer/photographer and professional antiques dealer, traveling from Maine to Texas for my chosen career fields.
Both careers have been a true joy for me, but I now find that I must stay closer to home, and am interested in expanding my opportunities by offering editing services.
My antiques background is strong on country antiques from the 19th century, with special interests in furniture, textiles, and useful and practical home-related furnishings from long ago.
As a photographer, I shoot primarily for a variety of Internet microstock photography websites, covering a wide breadth of pictorial topics which can be used for books, magazines, print resources, websites and a myriad of other possibilities.
Promptness, accuracy and reliability are key factors in my work. I am quick to grasp the content of a document, and am quite comfortable working within your deadlines. Being detail-oriented, I work diligently in finding and correcting errors.
I am well-read, not only in my fields of antiques and photography, but also seek daily information about current events, as well as national and international news, both in print and on-line. I do not wish to be limited to working as an editor within the fields of antiques and photography only, but instead welcome the challenge of fresh and interesting topics of any nature.
Believing that a good editor needs to read, and then re-read documents, I check carefully for spelling, punctuation, context, and sentence structure. The character of the individual writer is critical to the document, and that character should be maintained at all times.
I am computer-friendly, and can easily work on your documents. Your material is as important to me as it is to you - and I am willing and ready to take on all assignments!
