I worked in the public relations field for many years, first as PR Director of a small company, writing monthly newsletters (both in-house and for clients) and press releases, then worked for Walt Disney Imagineering's special events, creating snappy copy for WDI's in house special events. I later was editor of a start-up publication called College Parent Magazine which lived for only one issue. Since College Parent Magazine's demise, I moved to the field of librarianship, and have worked for the public library system of New Jersey and am currently working for an academic library in Atlanta, GA. At the public library I was the writer and editor of an online book review blog. At my current job I am copy editor of an online scholarly journal sponsored by the University, and am the editor of our library's bi-monthly newsletter. My writing strengths lie in my ability as an editor to simplify overworked writing to make it readable; my ability as a copy editor to find minute and detailed errors which could have caused embarrassment to the author; and my strong ability as a writer for a number of different settings including news articles, newsletters, magazine articles, corporate letters and annual reports, and press releases. I have a natural writing style that can be tailored to meet your needs, including humor, scholarly, newspaper and magazine writing styles. I can help streamline your own writing or your company's documents. I have a BS in journalism, and am in the process of getting my Master's in Library and Information Sciences. I look forward to working with you.
