The English language, although comprehensive and confusing at times, is both beautiful and powerful. It has the effect to persuade customers, entice readers, and inspire artists. The English language can also be disparaging and unforgiving, and that is why editors exist.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Tennessee, and a Master's degree in Secondary Education from East Tennessee State University. I am an educator, writer, and poet. My Creative Writing degree in college enabled me to learn how to edit myself, proofread others' work, and add to my extensive knowledge of the English language and all genres that inhabit it.
I seek perfection. I enjoy proofreading and editing. I love reading. I am constantly inspired to write. I convert words into art and art into prose. I cannot imagine my life without a career supported by the English language (and secretly believe that EVERY career does have success based upon the English language). I love grammar and its continuous puzzles of what is correct and what is not, and I will always shudder and turn a blind eye when I check out in the line marked "Ten Items or Less" at the grocery store.
