My background is in IT working for major corporations in the U.K., U.S.A. and
Europe. I started in mainframe computers as a programmer and progressed to
systems and programming management. I realised early in my career that most
technicians were unable to explain technical concepts to non-technical business
people and my career path took me into positions where communications were a major reponsibility. During many years of working for a major U.S. Financial services company in Europe I had several non-native English speakers on my staff and found that coaching and helping facilitate clear communications between people of differing backgrounds was a challenging and rewarding experience. I am now working as a teacher of Business English and I am looking forward to helping clients with their editing and proofreading requirements. I am used to working to deadlines and I am committed to producing a quality product for my clients.
