Profile I am a published writer with six years of academic experience under my belt. I have an MFA in creative writing with an emphasis on poetry and a Bachelor's degree in music performance with an emphasis on music history. I have taught college courses in both poetry and basic composition and have spent a year on the editing staff of a major literary magazine. Many of my poems have been published in high-profile journals and I have been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. My interests and areas of expertise are eclectic. In addition to my major areas of study, I have also worked on textbook editing projects, grown and sold my own medicinal and culinary herbs, and taken classes in medieval art history and advanced study of literature. Currently, I am working at a children's farm where I teach horsemanship lessons. I am also completing work on a book entitled "The Myth, Legend, and Pursuit of the Monster Catfish in America" while continuing to publish my poetry. I would feel confident editing nearly anything--from your academic thesis or dissertation to your poems, travel essays, short fiction, or novels. My personal philosophy is that all writing should be creative and my goal is to not only help you polish your work, but realize its full, vibrant potential.
