My educational background is a B.S. (summa cum laude) and an M.S. in organic chemistry from The Ohio State University. I spent eleven years working in the pharmaceutical industry as a chemist and a project manager. I am certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute. In my various roles in the pharmaceutical industry, I had experience writing and proofreading technical reports, business communications, and detailed technical instructions. I have taken a professional proofreading course and have passed multiple proofreading and editing exams.
I am also an unpublished novelist and a member of Romance Writers of America. I participate in a critique group with fellow authors. As a lifelong, avid reader of many kinds of fiction, I am comfortable proofreading and copyediting in multiple genres. I have taken courses in romance, mystery, fiction, and memoir writing.
