I have been involved with editing, writing, and teaching for about twenty-five years. I am very capable in all three areas.
I have been editing and proofreading for various clients over the years. After working as a proofreader in the U.S., I moved to Japan and started editing and proofreading for various clients here on a freelance basis. I have edited fiction, resumes, and essays relating to business, science, and the humanities, including the areas of medicine and computer science.
I also have been working as a freelance writer for newspapers and magazines since 1978. I have written feature articles, book reviews, and academic papers for the Los Angeles Times, the Asahi Evening News, and a variety of other publications. In addition, I am coauthor of a textbook, Build Up Your TOEIC Vocabulary (Shohakusha).
As for my teaching experience, I have been teaching English since 1979. Since 1981 I have been teaching EFL and American literature at colleges and language schools in Japan on a full-time basis.
As can be seen from the above, I have had a lot of experience editing, writing, and teaching. I also have an excellent grasp of grammar because of my academic background. I am sure I can help with whatever your communication needs are.
