In my current responsibilities as an editor, I handle all copy editing, proofreading, print layout and design of all print and Web-based higher education curriculum and materials for a private four-year university.
I have over 15 years experience in a higher education setting and have an exceptional ability to work under tight deadlines.
Over the past 10 years, I have developed experience with Web-based content, and use InDesign extensively for layout and print of four pieces, totaling over 1,000 pages per year. Each of these publications is compiled from both academic and administrative educational material and must be accurate to maintain and uphold the accreditations of the University. There is no room for error without risking the University's well-earned accreditations.
As a result of being in a higher education setting, I must maintain a high level of security and integrity in my work, as it affects the entire University population, as well as its constituents.
I have experience in developing course content and have been an adjunct instructor in business computer information systems at two universities.
I am looking to supplement my income, especially in the summer, when my office job is frequently less busy.
