I have studied at university for 10 years, working at achieving my post-grad degree and I've found that you need excellent English skills to write 4 years worth of assignments and a 2 year thesis. I have learned proofreading and editing skills through an Australian based editing program, not just to help me out during my education, but to use as an employment opportunity. I believe I can copyedit or proofread most types of documents, especially fiction or educational based manuscripts. Hopefully the proof of my skills will be in my work, which I take much pride in. Most of my experience is in proofreading and/or editing educational documents, thesis and work from fictional writer, so my strengths do lie in those areas. As I am Australian, I am most used to working with the Australian dictionary, however I am also quite knowledgeable with the U.S dictionary and can work with that just as easily.
