I am an experienced proofreader, editor, and writer. I am proficient with Mac, PC and Internet applications. I have a meticulous eye for detail, am highly organized with a distinct ability to multi-task. Additionally, I have teaching and educational programming experience.
I am an experienced editor and proofreader, with several years experience specifically with print media. As the editor of a widely-read non-profit magazine in Las Vegas, I worked on more than 40 issues, from inception to production. I was responsible for determining both the content and layout of the publication, as well as editing and proofreading all submissions.
In addition, I spent time in Los Angeles working as the dialogue list editor for SDI Media. In this position, I worked with companies such as Columbia Pictures and Universal, editing dialogue lists for conversion of theatrical releases to DVD. I learned how to turn out a high-quality product under demanding deadlines. I work well in high-stress environments, remaining calm and capable despite the circumstances.
I am currently freelancing as a proofreader for Pearson Education, which requires a meticulous eye for detail and a great deal of focus. As I am very detail-oriented, I truly enjoy this kind of work.
