In addition to my B.A. in English--wherein I made the Dean's List for my final two years in college--I also have an A.A. in Communications and a Certificate in Literature (although I realize that mainly just qualifies me to be a literary geek, as indeed I am).
I was the production manager and ghostwriter on my high school newspaper, and have had an active LiveJournal for the past seven years; I recently have opened a secondary LiveJournal account for my graphics work as well. Furthermore, I presently admin an online forum wherein many of the posting members possess negligible spelling and grammar skills, which necessitates constant utilization of my proofreading services...all in the interest of serving the greater good, which in this case would be enhancing clarity in online communication.
My previous work experience includes having tutored English at the college level for five years (in addition to teaching word processing and cultural life skills to a primarily-ESL student population), having generated assignments and study guides for tutees at both the high school and college level, proofreading and editing corporate intercommunication in my position as a clerical temp, transcribing legal documents, and contributing reports and essays to numerous online publications.
