I am a fairly recent graduate who earned her BA in English Literature from UCLA with a GPA of 3.5. I minored in Public Affairs, which included a mix of classes in Public Policy, Social Welfare, and Urban Planning; I also took a variety of elective classes in many fields, so I feel that I am well-rounded and not limited to a strictly "literary" field.
While in college, I served as the Creative Nonfiction Editor for a literary arts journal, and I have since continued to work as a proofreader / copy editor on various projects. I find that proofreading is a skill that is reinforced by extensive reading, so my voracious library habit comes in handy when I approach a new project.
I work well with many different types of people and have the flexibility to cooperate with clients' specifications quickly and efficiently. I have no problem working with different types of timelines and can function when working under pressure. In addition, I have a firm understanding of different types of projects, including academic and technical writing. I have a broad base of interests and can therefore flourish when working with information from different fields. I am also hard-working and responsible and would prove to be a benefit to your project.
