I will give the utmost attention to detail with your novels, stories, or articles involving children, animals, literacy, health, beauty, fashion, real estate, whatever you need. I am new to this type of editing platform, but have spent years of my life editing one thing or another. I am willing to read and experience all different forms of writing. I have read thousands of books.
I am currently a social worker for a Head Start program, and have been involved in the field of social work for nearly eight years. Grammar, English and spelling have always been somewhat of a passion to me. In high school, I was co-editor of my yearbook. In college, I edited and typed papers for extra cash. There is virtually nothing I read that I am not editing on some level. I may not use a red pen, but my mind is often analyzing. I have a knack for knowing how things are spelled and am lucky enough to have a decent vocabulary as well.
In college I took as many writing and English-related courses as I could. I also had an interest in law for a while, so legal writing is also in the realm of material I would enjoy reading.
At Head Start, I place emphasis on literacy and am in charge of a book exchange program for students, staff and parents.
Since the age of 11, I have written poetry, short stories and novels. Someday I will dredge this up and attempt to get published.
Another interest of mine is the environment and saving however much of Mother Earth I can while I exist on this planet. Nature-related literature is exciting to me. I can't really think of anything I wouldn't want to experience upon beginning this editing adventure. Cooking, plants, culture, movies, law, experimental medicine, so many things intrigue me.
I am just starting out in this exciting field of editing online, and can't wait to begin. I enjoy writing in addition to editing so I believe I can see this from both sides of the coin.
