Accurate. Obsessive. Astute. These are just a few of the words that have been used to describe my ability to write, and edit. I have been known to point out the small errors in newspapers, advertisements, and even novels (did you know that most novels have several typographical errors!). I am exposed to thousands of written interactions per month, that have provided me with the ability to edit, proofread, and correct all types of written material.
I am used on a daily basis by the President, of our one hundred person company, to confirm that his emails are accurate, and that his written letters are consistent with the type of image that is expected of a person of his stature.
I love reading all types of books. I particularly enjoy reading biographies and business books. I do crosswords every day, in order to sharpen my brain power, and to further my vocabulary. I also keep a daily journal on my computer that allows me to put down in writing what I am constantly thinking. This allows me to proofread an endless supply of subject matter, and permits me to perfect my ability to edit effectively.
I am "that guy" that notices the little things that stand out, or that just shouldn't be where they are. Whether it be a misplaced (or missing) comma, or a misspelled word, I am the first one to catch it, and will not rest until it is fixed. This has caused many sleepless nights, and many frustrating email conversations with less than stellar grammatical aces.
