Profile I am a British journalist who used to work out of East Africa for the Times and the Sunday Times of London. I have edited many publications for the United Nations Environment Programme, including their Desertification Control Bulletin, GRID newsletter, Environmental Law publications, and others. I also worked on project proposal writing for the Global Environment Facility using information supplied in French and Spanish and translating it into English. I have also written travel guides on Kenya, Seychelles, and East Africa (Insights, APA publications and Fodors) and a Gardening in East Africa book.

On moving to Panama I worked with the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute writing and editing a scientific publication on forest canopy research. Most recently (January-April 2009) I wrote a case study about the Panama Canal for a UN World Water Programme publication.

For the last five years my environmentalist husband and I have been developing an organic orange, coffee, honey, milk and egg farm in the highlands of Panama and looking after our five daughters (ages 16, 14,12, 9 and 9).

I enjoy variety so no matter the size or topic of your writing project, I will be pleased to work on it with you! I write best in English but am also fluent in French and Spanish and have associates who can double check these languages for me, when necessary!
