I have always been a meticulous student of the English language. Strongest in English than any other subject in high school, I went on to become an English major in college, simply because I love to read and write. I edited for an educational organization for two and a half years and then went to graduate school to become an English teacher. Though I proofread and edited the papers and other writing of my students, I also taught them how to edit and proofread their own papers and each others as well. Because of this, I needed to be expert in editing and proofreading so that I could best show my students how to do it. I am one of those people who ALWAYS finds editorial mistakes in literature and advertising, due to my well-honed and constant editorial eye.
I have editing experience in APA style as well as AP and MLA. I have worked in the university setting as an editor and the educational setting as a teacher. I have edited for colleagues, administrators, and college professors. I have edited documents that have gone on to be presented to the US Department of Education.
