My career in language began as an English major at Brigham Young University with an emphasis in literature and language. I took extensive language classes focusing on proofreading and editing in the AP style, and linguistic observation and analysis. I also spent 6 months living in France, teaching English and translating reports, and essays in addition to proofreading them and reading them for coherence. After graduation, I wrote, proofread and edited copy for marketing campaigns, as well as procedural manuals, and human resource materials including company policies for five years. I've contributed copy as well as having edited and proofread business proposals and plans as well as doing freelance proofreading and editing of manuscripts and essays. I have written story lines for a massive multi-player online game, and several quests. As well as writing content for companies' websites, I have published some creative writing in the form of short stories, and a few articles. I also recently started writing my own blog, mostly about ironies in everyday life, and frustration with publicized bad grammar and typographical errors. I'm very detail oriented, I love the English language and I love reading text for errors and coherence. I have glowing references from several sources, and language is my passion.
