Fourth year medical student with MIT mechanical engineering degree and years of experience in technical writing and editing. Fields of knowledge include Medicine, Science, Engineering, and Economics.
If you're looking for a superb editor with in-depth knowledge of Medicine, Science, Engineering, and Economics, you've come to the right place. I received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, where I was a member of the honor society and was an Academic All-American. MIT provided me with fabulous training and experience in technical writing and editing, including writing my thesis on a device for the diagnosis of breast cancer. While at MIT I also completed a concentration in economics and cross-registered at Harvard Medical School.
Following graduation, I moved to London where I attended Imperial College and took classes in Biological Sciences and Chemistry. I then worked for two years at a joint Massachusetts General Hospital – Harvard Medical School transplantation research center where part of my work was editing grant applications and journal article submissions for publication.
I am now a 4th year medical student at Tufts University School of Medicine. While at Tufts I have worked on the school paper, been finance chair of our student-run free clinic, and worked with curriculum committees to design an innovative new curriculum. As part of these experiences I have gained knowledge and competence in editing grants, proposals, power point presentations, and both scientific and fun articles. I am currently on leave from Tufts doing a National Institutes of Health fellowship in global health research, working in tuberculosis transmission in Peru.
I am a published author of both papers and abstracts in the medical field. I was born in France, am fluent in French and Spanish, and have some knowledge of Portuguese, Italian, Ancient Greek, and Arabic. In my free time I rock climb, cycle, and race sailboats; read widely including military history, French novels and cereal packets; and enjoy home fix-it projects, learning new languages, and the company of friends.
