As an English student and recent graduate of one of the most highly-accredited liberal arts schools in the country, there are very few things I value more than the strength and integrity of the written word. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in the Creative Writing concentration with a solid 3.07 GPA, and a sharp eye for style and accuracy.
Throughout my academic career, I have written dozens of essays on all manner of subjects, predominantly philosophy, politics, and classical literature; however, I am an aspiring novelist, and am deeply familiar with various forms of fictive literature and their conventions. Moreover, I have done copy editing and proofreading for friends and colleagues alike for the last several years. I consider myself a student of life itself, and writing is not only my specialty, but even my duty. Within the publishing field, editing is what I care the most about, and hope to eventually make a career out of.
I believe that clarity of writing and clarity of thought are mutually inclusive, even to a symbiotic degree, and in editing and improving the writings of others, I hope to pass this thought on to writers and students everywhere. I can only hope that this makes our present world a more coherent, more literate place - I firmly believe that the forward march of civilization is rooted in its education. Thus, by communicating and preserving our thoughts as clearly, accurately, and professionally as possible, we can come ever closer to realizing our fullest capacities as human beings "clothed in excellence."
