I am an entry-level editor looking for basic freelance work. I am currently in IT, working in email project management; however, I am looking for opportunities to move into writing or editing in journalism, trade publications, public relations, or marketing. I am just starting out, so I would like to gain some experience as a part-time freelancer before moving into the field on a permanent basis. I want to “get my feet wet” before finding my niche.

I speak Polish fluently, Spanish at a high intermediate level, and German at a very basic level. I also have extensive experience in designing websites. I am familiar with design technologies such as HTML, CSS, and XML. I would be well-qualified for a job requiring the management and formatting of online content.
In terms of editing experience, I have a primarily academic background. Having written a M.A. Thesis, I have experience with proofing and arranging a single piece of writing of significant length. I believe my work on this thesis demonstrated my writing and editing abilities very well.
