Wordsmithing is something I am most comfortable with, having written everything from sports to press releases, and editing and proofreading my work and others' from detailed technical jobs to large manuscripts.
I have worked throughout the publishing industry for about twenty years. I started as a college freshman sports writer, progressed to editing, then the design side, eventually working creating page layout, advertising, and promotional pieces. I've written sports, hard news, advertising copy, marketing pieces, and for the greater good. I've edited in the newspaper genre, I've edited creative manuscripts, and I've edited, and proofread, virtually everything in between.
InDesign and Quark have been my constant companions over the years, and I can create from a concept, or take created content and run with it.
I can capably share these varied skills and experiences. In addition to my practical abilities, I offer a strong work ethic–dedication, a desire to accomplish, and a necessary sense of humor to make each project a happy one.
My happiest place is one where I can give back.....rescued greyhounds have been my passion for over ten years now, but any work that gives back in any way, to the world, to animals, to advocate for whatever needs it most, gets my complete and utmost attention.
