Profile I am a detail-oriented editor and proofreader of scientific works of all kinds. I received a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, and worked in engineered sales for five years. I was required to describe, present, and sell technical equipment in a broad range of industrial fields. These presentations required clear and concise descriptions of complex engineering equipment, and incorporated a deep understanding of math, science, pneumatic conveyors, and HVAC design.

I also received an associate's degree in Biology and a Ph.D. in Plant Biological Sciences. As a graduate student and postdoctoral fellow, I have written numerous grant proposals that have led to successful funding and to multiple scientific articles that have been published in peer-reviewed journals focusing on Botany, Taxonomy, Systematics, and Ecology.

I have worked as an educator including the production of educational materials, classroom activities, and lesson plans in science. My teaching experience has also included proofreading, editing, and constructive critiques of both undergraduate and graduate student works.

I am also an avid reader of science fiction, fantasy, and mystery novels. I edit them in my head while I'm reading them. I often think writers of both fiction and nonfiction should have hired me to proofread their works before they published them!
