I have been an editor and writer for 10 years. This has included working in many public relations and marketing positions at a major university, as well as working for seven years as a writer and editor for a healthcare trade magazine publisher. I have worked on a variety of journalism/PR projects, including writing and creating promotional brochures, catalogs and invitations; writing and editing press releases, speeches and magazine articles; proofreading lengthy PhD dissertation papers; and creating and editing Web site content. Currently, I am the editor for two healthcare magazines, which involves acquisitioning and editing all articles and departments, and then handling final production of the magazines. All projects I undertake receive a thorough, precise review to ensure the final project is top-notch. I'm proficient in using various computer and Internet resources to complete my projects, as well as the trusted AP stylebook, Stedman's Medical Dictionary and other editing resources to complete the job. My areas of interest include healthcare, nursing, novels (both fiction and non-fiction), golf and children. No project is too big or too small.
