I am a retired Graphic Designer looking to supplement income as a virtual assistant and home-based freelancing. I have over 20+ years experience in graphic design, as well as desktop publishing, editing/editwriter and proofreading. Some of my skills include computer expert and type at 102 wpm. I have a Certificate of Completion in medical transcribing and non-medical transcribing. I have written two short stories and have two poems published in the "World Book of Anthology". I edited, proofread and designed some work for the "Norman Rockwell" series. Software knowledge: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Word, Word Suites, Publisher, Excel, QuickBooks, Windows, email, Outlook Express, ASP, transcribing software in both medical and non-medical reports, OmniPro, layout and design, spell check, word processing, online dictionary and more. I am a volunteer in my community and church events. I have helped build a home for Habitat for those in need of housing. I coached my own girls in softball, both fast-pitch and slow-pitch, until they reached high-school. As I am considered a computer expert, I am often asked to assist and help in fixing computer software/hardware issues from friends, family and businesses.
