Editing and proofreading services are offered by an experienced editor working in an academic environment. Editiorial and proofreading experience includes academic texts, business communications and speeches.
I am a university teacher with an MA in Linguistics and over fifteen years experience in the TEFL / TESOL field. Although I am British, most of my career has been spent in Thailand and I am completely comfortable editing and proofreading texts written by non-native English speakers. My teaching duties have included courses covering academic writing, creative writing and business correspondence courses.
As part of my regular job, I have to edit course materials, textbooks, formal correspondence and speeches. I have also had considerable experience in editing and proofreading business correspondence. In addition, I have done a certain amount of Thai-English translation, including academic material, thesis abstracts and freelance work for publications in Bangkok.
I am interested in freelance assignments as I enjoy editing and proofreading and would particularly welcome work from the Asian region.
