I love to read almost every genre. I was a history major with a focus on medieval religions. This enables me to read almost any type of scholarly work. Throughout my school career, I served as a tutor and informal editor to classmates.
I most enjoy reading fantasy and science fiction, but will read almost anything.
I find it difficult to read technical papers for subjects like physics and other sciences, since they are not my strong points. I wouldn't recommend selecting me for those types of pieces, as I don't feel that I would do my best work there. I am much better suited to fiction or liberal arts.
I've freelance edited through a few writing communities. Four of the novels I have edited are currently in print, with others in the process of being published. The four novels that are in print are available through Blue Mustang Press (1) and Second Wind Publishing (3). They are both smaller publishing houses, but they're very supportive of newer authors.
I currently work for the legal department of a larger firm, and a large portion of my job entails proofreading and editing documents before they leave the office.
I pride myself on being thorough and honest. I also try and be as kind as possible when saying something that may be harder to stomach.
