I am an experienced proofreader, writer and editor who has worked in magazine publishing, advertising, and marketing industries as well as press offices.
I have always had a passion for the English language, and an instinctive ability to use the language correctly. I developed these skills further whilst at University, and have honed them during years of proofreading, subbing and writing experience. I believe that exemplary use of English is vital in communicating one's message, and I understand how to use the language to maximise the text's impact upon the reader.
Rather than asking my clients to accept my style, I adapt my writing style to suit you and your needs. I am extremely thorough, and take pride in paying close attention to every small detail. I am used to working to very tight deadlines without compromising quality, so feel free to contact me with projects that require a fast turnaround.
I have worked as an editor of editorial, marketing and advertising copy and have amassed a great deal of experience. I am able to complete tasks quickly, correctly and cost-effectively.
I currently receive sub-editing and writing assignments from a variety of publishers. I am particuarly experienced in dealing with copy for media and arts titles such as film and console magazines, but I am extremely versatile and more than happy to undertake appropriate research prior to editing. My previous contracts have ranged from putting together a variety of style guides for various publications, to penning brochures and direct mail, to writing winning advertising awards submissions and putting together business-to-business directories.
I also have a lot of experience in Print Production, and can advise you on scheduling, organising and reducing the cost of any printing work that the project may entail.
I would be very interested in working on any Film or general entertainment features/reviews, or any large scale ghostwriting projects.

I use PC and Mac systems, both of which run Office 2004 (including Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
I frequently use Adobe Creative Suite 2, particularly InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. I find that CS2 is the package used most frequently by my clients, but I also have access to Creative Suite 3 where necessary.
