Profile
I have a passion for words. Short, long, restrained, flamboyant: they can say so much, unless there are errors to distract the reader.
I offer proofreading and editing services. Having a critical eye comes naturally for me, and I find myself constantly scrutinizing magazine articles, billboard ads, and other writing that I come in contact with throughout the day. I'm just starting out in the writing industry, but I do have experience in professional settings. As an Interactive Designer working for a large design firm, I am tasked with juggling multiple projects, staying organized, interacting with clients, and meeting deadlines.
I have experience with transcription and proofreading of scanned (OCR) documents, and by working on these projects I've shown qualities that are necessary to be an excellent proofreader: I'm detail-oriented, hardworking, and a self-starter. Most importantly, I have had a lifelong love of words and am a grammar enthusiast.
I hold a B.A. in Visual Communication Design. Like editing and writing, designing requires research in a variety of topics, and I have learned to do so efficiently and thoroughly.
As a hobby, I blog on a daily basis and have developed a small but dedicated group of readers. My blog entries are often short, humorous anecdotes. It is both a source of enjoyment and a way to continually refine my writing and editing skills.
My goal is to get your projects as polished and clear as possible. I will fully dedicate myself to your project – no matter what type of content, style, or format it might be – and deliver a quality revision back to you.
Thank you for taking the time to read about me. I look forward to working with you!
