I am currently the administrator of a medium-sized computer network at the medical school of a major university and have worked in that capacity for about 10 years. I have a BS in Political Science with double minor in History and Economics. Somehow I landed in the computer field (life is funny.) Over the last 25 years I have written or edited hundreds of documents covering a variety of topics including politics, religion, information technology and finance.
To me, being well-rounded is essential to living a good life. My journey has taken me through occupations in retail sales, finance, transportation, religion, law, medicine and education. In that time, I have been privileged to encounter hundreds of interesting people, many of whom I've written about in various outlets.
Although I've never been employed as a writer or editor, per se, writing is a passion of mine. I've had a couple of pieces actually published but nothing major -- but then I've never striven for that. My goal for several years has been to write an essay a day. Many days I meet it but not all.
I am not afraid saying, "I don't know" when I don't know. Too many people are and that nearly always leads to problems.
When you get a project returned from me, know without a doubt that I have done the job to the best of my ability.
