I have extensive experience at a number of private and public colleges and universities as a college instructor in communication/speech and in writing. I have sold hundreds of articles, as well as some fiction, in print and online. I have also done interviews, had a book chapter on Atlas Shrugged published, and written speeches for political candidates. In the past, I worked as a newspaper editorial writer and science columnist, performed freelance editing, proofreading, and writing, co-edited convention booklets, evaluated student essays for ACT, and helped in editing a communication research project. I have also tutored both graduate and undergraduate students in the communication field. I ran for Congress in 2000, worked as a research assistant in graduate school and later presented a competitive research paper. I have lectured grade school students on writing, done fiction readings at various conventions, and been a radio talk show guest.
I have undergraduate degrees in communication studies and broadcasting and film, with an emphasis in screenwriting and directing in the latter. I have been a president and/or founder of various student organizations and handled organizational publicity, procurement of meeting space, and liaison with professional writers and guests. I also briefly ran a video dating service.
