There are many good editors, but not all are easy to work with. I will listen carefully to understand what your needs are, and will focus on doing your job the way you want it done. I teach college composition, literature, and creative nonfiction at the college level.
Examples of copyediting work:
Legal: Worked with lexicographer of The Oxford English Legal Dictionary, Bryan Garner, and proofread and typeset his Revised Federal Rules of Procedure; edited commercial litigation briefs and medical evaluations for asbestosis class action suits.
Medical: Edited nursing and psychological textbooks, medical reports, and journal articles. Latin spelling abilities were helpful.
Theological: Full editing of several pastoral care textbooks, both theological and psychological. Theological thesis editing as well, making use of Greek vocabulary. Edited Advanced Pastoral Care Reader, adding callouts and designing worksheets; edited Quantitative Statistical Research textbook; edited Pastoral Care: Theory and Theology, Advanced Pastoral Care workbook, and Ministry Between Miracles. Also typesetting to produce books camera-ready for printing.
Medieval: Edit and final proofread of Society of Medieval Studies annual, using ability to spot spelling errors in various Western languages.
Literary: Zeitschrift proofreading.
Ghostwriting: Personal narrative and creative nonfiction.
Original writing: Varied interests, from organizing women's lives to neurology and international affairs. Widely read in current events. Rewrite specialized info.
