Profile In short, I am absolutely fascinated with the written word. I have strong technical writing abilities, as well as a real grasp of what makes something an enjoyable read. My areas of expertise include grammar, integrating quotations, business writing, persuasive essays, and all forms of analysis. Although I have a wide array of interests, I find the topics of fashion, fitness, marketing, minority literature, pop culture, and psychology particularly interesting.

If you would like a more detailed account of my history and skills as it pertains to writing, please continue.

My fascination with words came at a very young age. As the youngest child by nearly thirteen years, I was raised in a household of adults. In the absence of baby talk, my vocabulary quickly grew; I was using words like "redundant" in proper context before I reached second grade. To my recollection, some of my best grade school literary works include the tale of a crabby crab named Lisa (who may or may not have been inspired by a classmate with similar demeanor), and a riveting account of my childhood birthdays, complete with photos.

As I continued with my schooling, writing assignments became less about creating a fictional story and more about proving a point or sharing information in a clear, concise manner. I learned that there are rules called grammar that should be followed in writing. In middle school, our teachers were so focused on analysis that grammar books were only taken out as a form of punishment. I was fortunate enough in high school to have a wonderful teacher who still believed in learning writing the old fashioned way -- by drilling us with grammar rules until they stuck.

Between high school and college, I have written nearly thousands of papers covering a wide array of topics including history, science, psychology, and nearly every genre of literature imaginable. I have been known to spend an inordinate amount of time carefully selecting the words that best convey my thoughts. In writing intended to persuade, I craft each and every phrase in order elicit the desired response. I am quite adept at seamlessly integrating quotations and using the often elusive semicolon.

After years of editing friends' papers for shear enjoyment, I was hired as a writing consultant at my university. I spent many hours with college freshmen, many of whom had great ideas, but no concept of how put everything together in a clear, concise manner that flowed from beginning to end. In a thirty minute session, I took students through a writing boot camp with the goal of providing them with the tools they needed to go back to their dorm rooms and create something that would make their professors proud.

If you have read this far, I applaud and truly thank you. I hope you have enjoyed my story and it has helped to illustrate my passion and abilities as it pertains to writing. I look forward to working with you soon.
