I am a writer who has experience writing and editing for community newspapers and magazines. I find it extremely amusing when people have arguments on online forums about spelling and grammar. I am often involved in these arguments.
It annoys me to see spelling and grammatical errors on websites and in newspapers, even though I know that the copy editors have very little time before their deadlines to make sure that everything is perfect. Sometimes things get missed because copy editors are human too, but it does not look good to have big mistakes in a news article or on a website. It makes the writer look uneducated. (I get really annoyed when a mistake appears in one of my articles that was not there when I handed it over to another editor.) I can help you make your articles, short stories, etc. read smoothly and I can correct any spelling and grammatical errors for you. I am familiar with American and Canadian spellings. (For example, "favorite" is an American spelling and "favourite" is a Canadian spelling.) Just let me know if your work is for an American publication or a Canadian publication.
I like to write news articles, editorials, poetry, short stories and plays. I am currently working on a novel about time travel and preparing for a poetry reading. I enjoy reading a wide variety of books in my spare time.
