Education:
I am a licensed Pediatrican with an MD, as well as a double major BA in Linguistics and Psychology. My medical training includes 4 years US medical school followed by 3 years in a Pediatric residency. My college degree is from a 4 year accredited US university.
Experience:
I have multiple years experience proofreading, transcribing and editing projects. The bulk of my experience is in transcribing written questionnaire answers, then editing and proofreading them into a cohesive report.
As a Linguistics major, I was trained in syntax, grammar, spelling and semantics, all of which I apply when proofreading and editing projects. As a physician, I obviously have a wide exposure to all aspects of the medical field. I am very comfortable with medical jargon, methodology and spelling.
I have an extensive base of experience with computers and modern technology. I am comfortable editing and proofreading technological projects.
I have a wide variety of reading interests, from medical literature to fantasy novels to Victorian literature to romance novels. I have lived in both USA and England and am comfortable with the differences in lexicon and spelling.
