I graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in English Education from the University of Northern Iowa. During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a writing tutor in the university's writing center. I later obtained my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Houston-Clear Lake (magna cum laude). My master's thesis gave me invaluable experience in technical writing, but I also enjoy both writing and editing expository texts.
I currently teach 7th grade language arts, enjoy presenting my curriculum ideas at educator conferences, and occasionally work with professors at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. I am the leader of my 7th grade language arts team, and I recently was honored as my school's Teacher of the Year.
I am proficient in Word (will use Track Changes), Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher. I will edit any type of document. Please be specific about your editing needs. I have much knowledge of both MLA and APA documentation styles, along with personal experience in writing a thesis. Through obtaining both of my degrees, my job as a teacher, and my involvement in the National Writing Project, I have had countless opportunities to edit not only my own writing, but the writings of my students and colleagues, as well.
