I’m a career journalist with almost 15 years of writing and editing experience. I’ve worked for metropolitan newspapers, nationally recognized magazines, and a variety of books and Web sites. I also spent three years as a journalism professor, teaching young writers and editors the tools of the trade. (If I can handle the writing of teenagers, I can handle anything!)

After earning a bachelor's degree in English journalism, I worked as copy editor for several daily newspapers, and was eventually named assistant news editor of the Herald News of North Jersey.
From there I spent a few years in academia, teaching future writers and editors as an assistant professor of journalism at Seton Hall University.
After my contract there expired, I moved on to the world of magazines. My writing has appeared in:
+ Martha Stewart Living
+ Martha Stewart Weddings
+ Blueprint
+ Glamour
+ Glamour (South Africa)
+ Plenty
+ and a variety of trade magazines
I have worked as an editor, copy editor, or proofreader for:
+ Martha Stewart Living
+ Seventeen
+ Shape
+ Food & Wine
I was the head editor of the BlackBook Marciano Jet Set Guide (BlackBook Media, 2008), and a manuscript editor of Green Babies, Sage Moms (Penguin, 2007) .
I also wrote and edited various elements of several Martha Stewart books and special interest publications.
I'm also extremely proficient at academic writing and editing.
I'm a dedicated professional with a strong work ethic who still believes in the power of the written word—when the words are spelled and punctuated correctly. No matter the information my clients are trying to relay, I can ensure they'll be able to communicate in a clear, concise (and grammatically correct!) manner with their audiences.
