Professional editing for writers of fiction

Edit, proofread documents to a high standard

Mystery/thrillers, crime, historical and science fiction, ethnic fiction, gay/lesbian fiction, myths and legends. You have developed your idea, organised your plot, developed characters, produced dialogue, laid out your setting and written your book. Immediate and direct editing of your work can help you throughout the writing process from beginning to end. Grammatical and other errors, plot and character development mistakes will detract from your story making it virtually unreadable and unpublishable. A good proofreader and editor can make the difference between attracting a good agent and not.
Creative editing requires style, skill and diligence to refine your production for publication. No matter who you are, having an outside editor proofread your work, ensures that the manuscript is error free and attractive. Whatever your manuscript, an editor will also suggest stylistic and structural improvements where necessary. Creative writing will be edited in the format you require, including Chicago/Turabian style, Modern Language Association (MLA), American Psychological Association (APA), and National Geographic formats.
Four levels of copyediting services are available to make it easy for you. a) Proofreading - Spelling and grammatical errors, punctuation, tenses, hyphenation, capitalization and other typographical issues, formatting, sentence or paragraph structure to improve style and impact. b) Proofreading plus - In addition to proofreading, detailed attention to language, readability, point of view problems and so on. c) Major surgery - Making the document coherent, consistent and easily readable. d) English as a second language - Finding the right words and expressions for better communication.
An edit report detailing the changes made is standard and completed sections of large documents will be e-mailed to you at agreed intervals.
