Proper Use of Capitals to Begin Proper Nouns
Capitalize all proper nouns, but not common nouns. While
all nouns are persons, places, or things, proper nouns are
the names of specific persons, places, or things. Examples
of nouns that should be capitalized are religions, names of
particular deities, races, government departments, educational
institutions, languages, particular places (cities, states,
landmarks), historical events, names, commonly used nicknames
(Rock City for Detroit) and words of family relationship used
as names (Uncle Steve). To differentiate between proper nouns
