Use possessive
nouns and pronouns as subjects of gerunds. (Gerunds are -ing
words that act as subjects or objects in a sentence.)
Examples:
• His coming to class late was very disruptive.
(He or him was not disruptive-his coming
late was disruptive.)
• I can understand your wanting the job. (I'm
not saying I understand "you"-I understand your wanting.)
