Rule 5:
To use a possessive
pronoun, use the possessive form of the pronoun-don't add
an apostrophe to the pronoun.
Examples:
The book had its cover torn off.
Bob lost his report.
Mary quit her job.
Important Note: A very common writing mistake is confusing
its and it's. It's is never a possessive. It's
(with the apostrophe) always means the contraction form
of it is.
