Best Perfectionist Copy Editor/Proofreader

Correct spelling, punctuation, grammar, wordiness

Copy editing (also copy-editing or copyediting) is work that an editor does to improve the formatting, style, and accuracy of something written.
The "five Cs" summarize the copy editor's job: Make the copy clear, correct, concise, comprehensible, and consistent. Copy editors should make it say what it means and mean what it says.
Typically, copy editing involves correcting spelling, punctuation, grammar, terminology and jargon, timelines, and semantics; deleting redundancies; fixing problem sentences; sharpening vocabulary; editing wordiness; and ensuring that the text adheres to the writer's style. It may include re-arranging sentences and paragraphs as necessary.
Often, copy editors are also responsible for adding any "display copy", such as headlines, standardized headers and footers, and photo captions. And although proofreading is a different task from copy editing, frequently it is performed at the same time.
Copy editors ensure that the text flows; that it is sensible, fair, and accurate; and they address any legal problems. If a passage is unclear or an assertion seems questionable, the copy editor may ask the writer to clarify it

“I found a company called Demand Studios in “The Editorial.” I am now making $1,000 to $1,800 per week editing short “How To” articles for ehow.com. I'm loving it!” Judi
