Speak Like a Native!

Edit Non-native Writing

Speak like a Native! Concerned about your writing? Does the quality measure up to that of other educated professionals who are native speakers of English when you are not? Make sure it does. It is fast, simple, and affordable. Have your work edited by a professional in the fields of editing and English Second Language. Great for translated documents that may not read well, that may use wording, phrasing or expressions that are not typical of the native English speaker. It is not enough to know the language, or even to be fluent, to be a good writer. You must express yourself clearly in a way others your intended audience understands readily. You do this by using the most common way of expressing certain ideas typical words and phrases, routine expressions. Make sure you say it right, but also make sure you say it the way we say it the way we understand it! Working with so many students I have developed the ability to understand what many speakers of others languages are trying to communicate, even in various technical fields. I can put this in to native English speech! And you will seem like a natural!

What about companies who have documents translated. Unfortunately, the documents usually read like translations. Translation requires not only fluency in both the origin and target languages, but a degree of experience in the field. Beyond that, what many translators lack is true native capacity. They can get it done, and they can find the right technical terms, but it will not be the way we would say it in our language. It will be hard to understand, and often parts make little or no sense. If you are a company that has gone to the trouble to have work translated in order to market or do business in another language, you owe it to yourself to go the final step in having it professionally edited by an editor familiar with the mistakes and non-native usages in translated English documents. If you are going to play the game, play it well and win with native quality documentation.

“I found a company called Demand Studios in “The Editorial.” I am now making $1,000 to $1,800 per week editing short “How To” articles for ehow.com. I'm loving it!” Judi
