Careful proofreading is my goal.

In my proofreading, reviewing every detail is all-

Careful attention to all details of grammar, spelling, and punctuation when proofreading or editing a document are important primary goals for any proofreader or editor. A strong love and respect for the English language, as well as an inherent desire to see it utilized effectively and accurately, are also absolutely essential components in any successful writing project.

Rigorous proofreading is important in the completion of any document. Proofing to ensure proper use of punctuation, correct spelling, good grammar is an essential final step in the production of any document, including correspondence, reports, brochures, manuscripts, web page content, etc.

Employing a "spell-check" function on one's word processing program is simply not sufficient; problems with grammar, incorrect word choice (i.e., "they're" vs. "their"), and sentence structure will not register on a spellchecker program. Employing a seasoned proofreader or editor will ensure that common mistakes (like the word choice example, above), as well as unusual ones, are noticed and corrected.

Other written passages might not be technically incorrect, but rather merely unclear due to sentence structure. Careful re-working of a sentence can often make it far easier to read and understand. All of these factors can render your writing more pleasant and understandable, and elicit a better response in your reader than un-edited output.

Finally, itís very important to choose a proofreader or editor who is a professional with broad experience and can respond quickly and appropriately to the specific needs of your project, and who is responsive to the requirements of your projectís timeframe.
