I was valedictorian of my High School class and scored a perfect 800 on my English SAT.

I am a 2006 cum laude graduate from Harvard College. I majored in Women's Studies at Harvard but took classes in many fields -- sociology, anthropology, biology, chemistry, history, English, Spanish, etc. During my time at Harvard, I read around 500 pages a week for class, and wrote at least one paper of three to five pages in length every week. I wrote a 125-page thesis on women's issues in Mexico over the course of a semester for my undergraduate degree. This time at Harvard gave me much experience in my own personal writing and editing.

During my four years at Harvard, I also used my experienced editing skills (gained from my mother-a copy editor) to help my friends edit and proofread their papers and other collegiate work. Although I was never paid for this, I learned a great deal about writing and editing.

I am fluent in Spanish and have experience as a translator. I am currently pursuing a graduate degree in Public Health and work on Capitol Hill for a U.S. Congressman. I continue to use my editing skills in this work as I write all of the Congressman's correspondence, both personal and official, for him. And, of course, I continue to read and write constantly in pursuit of my degree.
