Christian Novel Proofreader

Lutheran, LCMS, Christian, Faith, Faith-based, Hop

Kaellyn is a detail-oriented editor/proofreader with over 5 years of experience in Christian publishing. She is also a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, and the daughter of a pastor. Growing up in a Christian home, she enjoyed reading the works of Francine Rivers, Jan Karon, C.S. Lewis, Paul Maier, Ted Dekker, and more. She has dabbled in fiction writing since a young age, but has discovered, while editing many NaNoWriMo projects for friends over the years, that her true passion is editing the stories of others so they are as good as they can possibly be.

What does a proofreader do? A proofreader looks for typographical errors (we all make them while drafting), inconsistencies in spelling or grammar (did you spell that character’s name the same way throughout?), and other stylistic mistakes. The publishing world is fierce, and most publishers will toss a manuscript after finding just one typo.

As an author, you have put so much of your heart and soul into your novel. Now that you are looking to get that novel published, it is crucial that your work has the polish that only a professional proofreader can provide. You have done the hardest part by making the story come alive. You deserve a proofreader who is also a Christian friend, and will make the necessary corrections while respecting you as an author. Kaellyn looks forward to coming alongside your novel and prayerfully partnering with you in this next step in the publishing journey.

For, By, and About Editors
“I found a company called Demand Studios in “The Editorial.” I am now making $1,000 to $1,800 per week editing short “How To” articles for ehow.com. I'm loving it!” Judi
