Write What You Mean to Say!

Edit and Proof with Understanding!

Your goal is to assist the writer and to convey what he/she is saying so that it is understood and not misconstrued. Be non-judgmental and open-minded to the writer's work. Listen to what the writer hires you to do: proof and grammar only, edit structure of sentences, in-depth edit of paragraphs and structure or assist to rewrite the work. It is up to the writer to inform me of the extent of the task at hand. Communicate with the writer in a timely manner and meet deadlines when in force. Patient, understanding and willing to work with the writer to improve the work by suggesting alterations. Partnership between the editor and writer are important in order to obtain success without misunderstanding.
